The Journey of Faith

Infant Dedication

At Longton Elim, we are committed to children. We love to support families when they choose to dedicate their children (of any age) to God, choosing to raise them in the knowledge and love of Christ.

If dedication of your child/children is something you wish to discuss, please get in touch with us.

Baptism

At Longton, we celebrate Baptism as a joyful faith-step in a Christian's journey. It's a significant moment for each person, symbolizing their spiritual rebirth.

At Longton Elim we practice 'believer's baptism' by full-body immersion. This means that baptism happens not so much as a starting point of faith, but rather it is the occasion when a Christian publicly declares their faith.

Testimony

At Longton Elim, we believe in the power of testimony - and we love to tell our stories!

Often a person will tell their faith story when they are baptised, but our testimonies don't stop the day we become a Christian; God is working in and through us all the time and it is the power of these testimonies that encourages and sustains us.

Prayer

At Longton Elim we believe that Prayer is a powerful conversation with Father God, that we can enjoy because of our restored relationship with Him, through Jesus' death & resurrection.

We believe that prayer changes things. You are welcome to join us at prayer meetings, or, if you would like us to pray for you, please do get in touch.

Communion

We celebrate communion at Longton Elim most Sundays. this is often a short time of reflection & thankfulness towards God.

We believe communion is a moment of self-examination, gratitude for God's forgiveness, and commissioning to take the Good News of Jesus and His love to the World.

If you are a Christian you are welcome to share communion with us.
